Lightweight, yet sturdy

Asersus Wood (Sarsou Wood) is one of the most exotic timber that has unique specifications and characterized by the beauty of the shape and flexibility in formation by hands.  Asersus is very dense and heavy to the extent that if it is well prepared and equipped, it lives forever. It is famous of being widely used in fine furniture and hand crafted boxes.

Asersus is widely found in Kom Ombo and Aswan (Upper Egypt). It needs to be stored in wide places with sufficient ventilation. For easily formation, it is usually stored for five years until completely dry. Because all production steps are manual, completion of products takes high effort and time but high quality and accuracy in details are guaranteed. Air dried wood is considered very safe option for kitchenware products.

Asersus wood products (bowls, sushi plates… etc.) are usually inspired by the nature of the original tree, its natural color and patterns.
